Pūkaea Podcast

Our Pūkaea Podcast takes its name from the traditional Māori instrument and embodies the spirit of its namesake. Pūkaea have a deep connection and long history with Māori culture and society, and to this day they are used to call people together or send signals over great distances, resonating deeply with our mission. Much like the instrument's call, Pūkāea is a rallying cry, gathering global voices together to amplify the importance of repatriating indigenous human remains and cultural heritage.

Pūkaea is produced by Kaea Consultancy to highlight issues and topics relating to the return of ancestral remains and cultural heritage to their communities of origin. The podcast also serves as a channel to promote the efforts of communities, organisations and individuals working in this important space thus strengthening and advocating for a global movement and international community.
